현대인에게 있어서 시간과 관련된 영어 표현은 무궁무진하다고 할 수 있다.

특히 바쁜 학생이나 직장인들에게 있어서 흔히 쓰이는 말 중의 하나가 '정해진 시간에 끝내는 것'이라고 할 수 있는데 meet the deadline이라고 표현하면 된다.

제때 끝내는 것은 done on time으로，제 시간에 끝내지 못하는 것은 run behind schedule로 말하면 무난하다.
