요즘 수업준비를 잘하지 않거나 수업할 자격이 없는 선생님들이 많은 것 같다.
이런 선생님들 때문에 많은 학생들이 제대로 많은 것을 배울 수가 없다.
오늘날 몇몇 사람들은 학교가 선생님들을 평가해야 한다고 주장한다.
자격미달의 선생님들을 학교에서 해고할 수 있기 때문에 교사평가제 도입을 나는 찬성한다.
이 제도는 선생님들을 긴장시켜 더 열심히, 그리고 효과적으로 강의하게 하도록 만들기 때문이다.
우선 이 시스템은 학생을 가르칠 자격이 없는 선생을 퇴출하는 데 효과가 있다.
수업을 준비하지 않거나 학생을 가르칠 자격이 없는 선생님들이 너무나 많다.
이런 선생님들은 학생들이 원하는 것을 가르칠 자격이 없다.
게다가 이런 자격미달인 선생님으로부터 배운 학생들은 능력있는 선생님께 질 좋은 수업을 들은 아이들보다 기대 이하의 교육을 받을 게 뻔하기 때문이다.
그러므로 자격이 없는 선생님들을 이 시스템으로 평가해서 학교에서 물러나야 한다고 본다.
또한 이 시스템은 자격미달의 선생님들을 제거할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 남아있는 선생님들도 어떻게 하면 좀 더 질 좋은 수업을 할 수 있을까 하고 연구하고 고민하게 만든다.
열심히 노력하지 않으면 언젠가는 낮은 평가를 받아 나중에라도 해고될 수 있기 때문이다.
그러므로 선생님들은 끊임없이 노력해야 하고 그런 선생님들께 배운 학생들은 수업을 쉽게 이해하고 많은 양의 지식을 습득할 수 있을 것이다.
