♣every와 each는 언제나 단수로 취급하라
every와 each는 의미상 복수이지만 항상 단수 취급한다. 특히 다음의 세 가지 경우에 있어서 혼동하기 쉬우니 잘 정리해 두자.

1．each 자신이 문장의 주어로 쓰일 때 (이때 each는 대명사이다.) 2．each의 수식을 받는 주어 (each + 명사) 3．every의 수식을 받는 주어 (every + 명사)
1. Each of the paragraphs is joined together by a transition word， phrase or sentence.(각각의 단락들은 연결어,어구,혹은 문장에 의해 하나로 결합된다)
2. Each moment with you is just like a dream to me.
3.Every change in business applications has global impact and high cost.
[ 주의 ] 1. every가 두 개 이상 연결되어도 역시 단수 취급한다. Every boy and every girl equally has to finish the work by tomorrow.
2. every 뒤에 복수 명사가 오는 관용적 표현이 있다 ; every+숫자 표현(매 ~마다)You must take this tablet every five hours.
♣구와 절은 하나의 단일한 덩어리로 보므로 단수 취급한다. 대부분의 부정사구,동명사구,명사절,의문사절은 단수로 취급한다.(간혹 예외적인 문장이 있을 수 있으나 일단 고교수준에서는 구와 절은 단수취급이 원칙이라는 사실만 알아두자)
